Job Description
  • Duties Before Welding:
    • Verify that the material is
      • in accordance with drawing / WPS
      • identified and traced to a test certificate
      • in suitable condition (free from damage and contamination)
    • WPS is approved and available to welders (and inspectors from the contractors)
    • Welding equipement is in suitable condition and calibrated as appropriate
    • Weld preparations are in accordance with WPS (and/ or drawings)
    • Identification of welders qualification for each WPS to be used and all welders qualification certificates are valid
    • Welding consumables to be used are 
      • as specified by the WPS
      • stored/ controlled as specified by the QC procedure
    • Joint fit-ups are in accordance with WSP / drawings
    • Tack welds are acceptable as per standards, code of WPS
    • Weld faces are free from defects, contamination and damage
    • The maximum temperature for Preheat (if required) is in accordance with WPS
  • Duties during Welding
    • Ensure weather conditions are suitable/ comply with Code (conditions will not affect welding) when on-site / field welding
    • Welding process must be in accordance with WPS.
    • Preheat (if required) minumum temperature is being maintained in accordance with WPS
    • Inter-pass temperature maximum temperature is in accordance with WPS
    • Welding consumables are in accordance with WPS and being controlled as the procedure
    • Welding parameters e.g. Current, volts, travel spees are in accordance with WPS
    • Root run is visually acceptable to Code before filling the joint (for single sides welds)
    • Gouging/ grinding is allowed by an approved method and to a good workmanship standard.
    • Inter-run cleaning must be at a good workmanship standard
    • The welder is on the approval register/ qualified for the WPS being used
    • Coordinate with other contractor for interface works
  • Duties after welding
    • Each weld is marked with the welders's identification and is identified in accordance with the drawing/ weld map
    • Ensure welds appearance is suitable for all NDT (profile, cleanliness etc.) and visually inspect welds and sentences in accordance with Code
    • Check to ensure the dimensions are in accordance with drawing/ Code
    • Ensure any modifications are included on as-built drawings
    • Ensure all NDT is complete and reports are available for records
    • Monitor repair work in accordance with the procedure

Job Description
  • Assist the Team Leader/ Construction Manager in the review of design and drawing related to Transmission Line
  • Assist the Team Leader / Construction Manager in the construction supervision and progress monitoring of the Transmission Line
  • Assist the Team Leader / Construction Manager in all other activities as entrusted by the Team Leader
  • Ensure the adherence of all the safety norms as per the safety regulation of the construction of Transmission Line during the whole construction cycle
  • Assist the client for the factory inspection of Transmission Line Equipment and provide recommendation for issuance of dispatch clearance of the Transmission Line Equipment
  • Under the direction of the Team Leader / Construction Manager for Transmission Lines, execute and/or oversee a range of project implementation and support activities as defined by the project plan ensuring that these are delivered on a timely basis to support broader project initiatives and objectives, and ensure consistency of quality
  • Establish and implement effective contract and project management processes to support oversight of desing, supervision, consistent monitoring of activity budgets; monitoring and updating of project timelines and milestones; quality assurance and quality control; and regular reporting processes
  • Under direction of the Team Leader / Construction Manager; leads Transmission Lines activitiy to ensure coordinatio of technical requirements for successful implementation of the transmission line project
  • As necessary, supervise junior engineering staff to execute work through technical guidance, quality control, and/or mentoring

Job Description
  • To ensure transmission line works is being carried out as per approved design and drawings
  • Coordinate with Team leader, design team, contractor and client regarding any issues relevant to the construction of transmission line works
  • To verify the site works/quantity executed as per joint measurements
  • Assess the adequacy of the Contractors work and its compliance with the contract documents. Notify the Team Leader/Construction Manager and the Contractor of defective work. Document and track the occurrence of and resolution of defective work
  • Monitor the work to evaluate that it is being performed by qualified and, where specified, by certified personnel
  • Coordinate with the other contractor for interface works.
